🌨️ 27 5 Vs 29 Enduro
59” went from a 430mm reach 27.5 bike, to 475mm reach 29er, weird at first, but got used to it after a few rides. still have my old bike and ride both. And now I really enjoy the big bike for long days and harder trails and the small bike for jibbing and more playful rides. If I were to keep one, it would be the big bike.
Afteryears resisting 29 and riding 27.5, I finally made the switch and am PRing everything downhill fwiw. The 27.5 was more nimble and playful, but the 29 is just plain fast. Prior bike was a gg megatrail, current is a Ripmo. For long travel 29er there are tons of options. Firebird is sweet. Love that bike. Spec enduro is a great point and shoot.

Becauseof the larger wheel, the Enduro 29 naturally has a taller stack height, but its new incarnation got a few millimeters added to its bottom bracket height and a few more sliced off its head tube. Conversely, this year's Enduro 27.5 still offers 10 millimeters more travel than its bigger-wheeled sibling, plus it got a slightly taller head

AnXC 29er is going to be more agile than a slack 27.5 enduro around the tighter singletrack, all because of the shorter wheelbase due to a steeper head angle. 27.5 is easier to do tricks on because there's less rotating mass. Absolutely negligible between 27.5 and 29.
WheelSizes available: 27.5'' and 29'' Travel Options: 150 and 160 mm; 130, 140, and 170 mm air shafts available; I don’t see the latter as being much of a limitation for a modern Enduro fork, but the lack of a wheel size option is a bummer for those of us who are still fond of 27.5’’ wheels. Of course, there’s nothing stopping you
26 Vs 27.5″ Enduro Bikes - Opinion. It was evident at a European Enduro event 29″ was very low in presence. Many riders commenting that at the level they are riding at the 29″ wheels aren’t quite stiff enough or strong enough with an acceptable weight, to be the rider’s Enduro wheels of choice.

Thinwalled tires have an average life expectancy of 5 minutes on the trail, so I resort to the most durable Enduro version for the casing. I’m loving the Super Gravity casing of the Magic Mary. Unfortunately, I always have to resort to downhill casings in wet conditions because there is no 29er model with the extra soft rubber compound.
